Stained Concrete is the art of pouring chemicals onto the concrete to give it a stained and brush look and feel. The stained appearance becomes a part of the concrete and cannot be removed. This is used to mimic the looks of wood, tile and other surfaces such as leather for instance. We have been doing concrete staining for multiple years and have great expertise in doing so. Our stained concrete process is simple. We first determine whether the concrete is indoors or outdoors, and take in account the type of effect the clients wants on the concrete.
After this, we prepare the surface for staining, we apply the desired look of the staining by brush and hand, we then clean or neutralize the acid stains and finally seal the concrete so the finish stays on and has time to dry. Some of the most popular concrete staining colours include, tera cotta, blue, green, brown, tan and green. We use concrete acid stains so that the advantages are no chipping or fading of the stained concrete, creation of deep earth tones that do not fade and rich colour variations to bring character and a lot of distinctive looks to the concrete slab.
We can also use the water based staining method, this is a safer method and are for clients looking to do more of an artistic effect on the concrete, where layering and blending of colours are easy. For any concrete slab that is too dark, we can dilute to make it a lighter colour and is easy to apply and adheres well to the overall look and feel of the concrete slab. The water based concrete staining come in the following options: Solid colour, semi-transparent and acrylic. We can offer the stained concrete work on patios, walkways, driveways and floors and apply any colour matched with your artistic preference.
